PSV Eindhoven will face Atlético Madrid in Champions League
PSV Eindhoven will face Spanish side Atlético Madrid in the round of 16 of this year’s Champions League competition.
PSV are the first Dutch club to get beyond the group stage of the competition since the 2006/07 season. PSV were the Dutch representatives then as well and lost to Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
The first leg will take place at home in the second or third week of February.
Meanwhile, coach Philip Cocu signed a two-year extension to his current contract with PSV, taking it up to summer 2019.
