Rozendaal is the richest Dutch town, Pekela the poorest
Rich people living in the richest Dutch local authority areas have become even richer, RTL news says on Wednesday.
Well-off people living in the Gelderland town of Rozendaal each became €900 better off between 2012 and 2013, while the average national income rose just €100, the broadcaster quotes national statistics office CBS as saying.
The lowest average incomes are in student cities Groningen, Wageningen, Enschede and Nijmegen. Pekela, in Groningen province, is in fifth place.
However, just 200 of the 5,600 Pekela households are included in the country’s richest 10%, making the town the poorest place in the country, RTL says.
