Ajax profits increase by one-fifth
Amsterdam football club Ajax booked profit of €22m in their 2014/2-15 book year, up one-fifth on the previous season.
The club, currently leading the premier division, said on their site that much of the profit came from well-paid transfers such as those of Daley Blind to Manchester United and Siem de Jong to Newcastle United.
Ajax, which is listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange, booked a 1.5% increase in turnover to €105.4m.
