The man arrested in connection with the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl last week is facing sexual abuse charges, sources told broadcaster Nos.

The man, named as 41-year-old Danny D, will appear in court for the first time on Thursday afternoon. He has a criminal record for a similar act, the broadcaster says.

Lisa Tuk sneaked out of the holiday park where she was staying last week and is thought to have gone to meet a Rotterdam boy she met on Facebook. D is suspected of posing as a teenager using a photograph of an American teen.

The AD reports that D was jailed for six months in 2011 for luring a 12-year-old girl to a swimming pool after posing online as a 15-year-old boy.

Lisa was found by police on a bus in Koudekerk aan den Rijn on Monday. Police had used her mobile phone to trace her whereabouts.
