Dafne Schippers to focus on sprinting
Dutch athlete Dafne Schippers is to focus on sprinting rather than the heptathlon in the run up to the Rio de Janerio Olympic Games in 2016.
Schippers, who is one of the fastest women in the world this year over 100 metres, was forced to pull out of the heptathlon at the Gotzis games last weekend because of problems with her knee.
Schippers, who is 22, won the bronze medal in the heptathlon at the 2013 world championships in Moscow.
She currently holds three European sprint titles.
