Dutch economy grows for fourth successive quarter
The Dutch economy grew 0.4% in the first quarter, the fourth successive quarter of growth, national statistics agency CBS said on Wednesday.
Year on year economic growth was 2.4%, the CBS said.
Exports were the main motor but the economy grew across the board.
Consumers spent more, particularly on films, games, books and electronics. House sales were up and companies invested more in their operations.
However, the pace of recovery in the jobs market slowed, with 6,000 new jobs created compared with 40,000 in the last quarter of 2014. Most of these were freelance jobs. The number of jobs at companies did not grow.
