Dutch inflation rate rises a fraction due to higher petrol prices
The Dutch rate of inflation rose to 0.4% in March, compared with 0.2% in February, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.
Rising petrol prices are behind the increase in prices, the CBS said.
Calculated according to European methods, which excludes the cost of home maintenance, prices are falling and the Netherlands has a deflation rate of 0.3%. This is below the EU-wide deflation rate of 0.1%, the CBS said.
