Amsterdam police seize nearly €2m in cash in hotel room
Amsterdam police have seized almost two million euros in cash after a tip-off led them to a city hotel room.
The money – a total of €1,987,859 – was found in plastic bags and ‘neatly arranged on the hotel room floor’, police said in a statement on Friday.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the haul. He is suspected of money laundering.
