Teenager gives birth in Amsterdam supermarket
Mounted police in Amsterdam have helped a teenager give birth in a supermarket in the east of the city, local media said on Thursday evening.
The girl gave birth to a baby girl with the help of a police officer who tethered his horse in front of the supermarket in the Pretoriusstraat.
Media report the young mother was a 15-year-old girl. Some sources say she was out shopping, others that she worked in the Dirk van den Broek supermarket.
The mother and baby were taken to hospital but are believed to be in good health.
