Is there a dog poisoner in Brabant?

dogsDog owners in Brabant are worried about reports that poisoned dog food is being left out in various towns in the region, news agency ANP says on Wednesday.

One dog is said to have died and three others became ill after eating the dried dog food. The Dutch forensic institute is currently testing samples to see if they really have been laced with poison.

The first report was made to the police in Kaatsheuvel at the beginning of the month. Other complaints have since been made in Waalwijk, Wijk en Aalburg, Tilburg, Loon op Zand and Drunen, ANP says.

In some cases, the suspect food has been thrown into people’s gardens, local broadcaster Omroep Brabant said earlier this week.

Police are advising dog owners to clear up any suspect food and to dispose of it carefully.
