Ajax to meet Ukrainian side Dnipro in Europa League round of 16
Ajax will meet Ukrainian football club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the round of 16 of the Europa League.
The first leg will take place in Kiev on March 12. Dnipro plays its home games in Kiev because of the unrest in eastern Ukraine. The return leg takes place in Amsterdam a week later.
Dnipro qualified for the round of 16 by beating Olympiakos Piraeus, where Dutchman and former international Ibrahim Afellay is currently on loan. Dnipro is currently third in the Ukraine premier league.
Ajax, currently second in the Dutch league behind PSV, are the only reigning champions still in the Europa League.
