Wintry weather on its way, say weather forecasters
The Netherlands is heading for a longer period of wintry weather, with snow and hail set for the end of the week, weather forecasters said on Tuesday.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be mild for the time of year but it will be windy on Wednesday as cold air from the Arctic moves in. The Arctic winds will bring wind, snow and hail on Thursday and into the weekend.
This weekend, temperatures will drop to as low as -5 Celsius at night in inland areas, allowing the snow to settle.
The KNMI’s long range forecast into early February says it will remain very cold with wintry showers
