Amsterdam police hunt for missing Norwegian tourist
Amsterdam police are trying to trace the steps of a 21-year-old Norwegian tourist who apparently disappeared after being left in front of his hotel by ambulance workers in the early hours of Friday morning, the Parool reports.
Tore Grodem, who is deaf in one ear and wears a hearing aid, was found ‘unwell’ on Amsterdam’s Rembrandtplein, two hours after he left the Escape nightclub to withdraw cash from an ATM.
He was treated and dropped off at his hotel near the Leidseplein at around 04.00 hours – according to hotel security camera footage. The front door was locked and he never made it to the alternative entrance.
The youth’s parents have now arrived in the city to take part in the effort to find their son, who was reported missing by a friend after he failed to return to the night club.
Grodem was wearing a pale blue shirt, dark jeans and La Costa shoes when he vanished.
