Man in court over bullet threats to politicians
A Rotterdam man will appear in court next week charged with making threats against several politicians, including sending a bullet to CDA leader Sybrand Buma in 2010.
Threats were also made against the current parliamentary chairwoman Anouchka van Miltenburg and MPs from the CDA, Labour, GroenLinks, SP, ChristenUnie and pro-animal PvdD who were members of the parliamentary justice committee at the time.
In the letter, the man threatened to shoot politicians from the public gallery in parliament, local broadcaster RTVNH says.
The man was identified by news agency ANP as Mark K.
K hit the headlines in 2010 when he placed videos on internet of himself shooting photos of both national and local politicians, including Rotterdam’s mayor Ahmed Marcouch, ANP says.
