Bagdad police station suicide bomber was probably Dutch: counter terrorism unit
It is almost certain that last week’s suicide bomb attack in Bagdad was carried out by a Dutch national, the Dutch counter-terrorism unit NCTV said on Monday.
Five people were killed and dozens injured when the man blew himself up at the entrance to the main police station.
The NCTV refuses to say anything about the identity of the man.
However, young Dutch Muslims in the Netherlands suggest the bomber may have been known as Abu Bakr al-Hollandi, a 19-year-old youth from Maastricht who went to Syria last year.
The explosion is believed to be the third suicide bombing by a Dutch jihadi, broadcaster Nos says.
