Consumers buy more clothes, household goods in August
Dutch consumers increased their spending by 1.5% in August this year, compared with the year earlier period, the national statistics office CBS said on Tuesday.
This is the biggest increase in almost four years, the CBS said. In May, June and July, consumer spending was at the same level or marginally above the year earlier period.
Clothing, home furnishing and domestic appliances showed the strongest growth.
