Fewer bankruptcies in first half
The number of companies going bankrupt in the first six months of this year is down almost 25% on the same period a year ago, according to website Faillissementsdossier.nl.

In total, 5,244 companies and institutions were declared bankrupt in the first half of 2014, compared with 6,868 in the year earlier period.
Bankruptcies fell in all sectors, with the exception of retail trade via internet. While the number of bankruptcies in the retail trade as a whole fell 16%, the number of webshops bankruptcies rose 17%.
