Chip machinery maker ASML said on Wednesday it had boosted profit in the second quarter of this year, following the shipment of new products.

Second quarter profit rose 60% to €400m on sales of €1.6bn, the company said in a statement.

First half turnover reached €3bn but the company expects lower demand in the coming months as companies delay taking decisions about new investments. ASML expects full year sales to reach €5.6bn.
