Ahold to cut 14% of headquarter jobs.
Supermarket group Ahold is cutting 210 jobs at its headquarters in Zaandam, north of Amsterdam.
Many of the jobs will go by not replacing staff when they leave, but the company is not ruling out forced redundancies.
The reorganisation, which is to streamline the company’s European operations, will take place over the next year. Ahold has a workforce of 1,500 at its headquarters.
