Action, Ikea and Bijenkorf lead shop popularity ranks
Action, Ikea and the Bijenkorf are the most unmissable Dutch shops according to market research group Q&A.
The organisation asked 13,000 consumers which shops they could not do without and which they would not miss, broadcaster Nos reports.
Blokker and Hema were also high on the list of unmissable stores, because of their wide product range, not because people particularly like them, Q&A said.
Bottom of the list – stores which should fear for their future – were budget clothing stores Wibra and Zeeman, confectionary chain Jamin, Expo (gifts) and the Kijkshop (electronics).
The complete ranking shows only about 10% of retail chains make their clients really happy and 30% never please them. ‘These are shops which do not stand out from the rest and therefore would not be missed,’ Q&A spokesman John Terra said.
