The temperature is forecast to reach as much as a sunny 17 Celsius on Sunday, weather forecasters say.

This is some 10 degrees warmer than the average March temperature and comes from a high pressure zone that will last well into next week, the Telegraaf reports.

Over the next few days it will be sunny and around 12 Celsius, but motorists are being warned of misty conditions on the roads in the early morning.

In addition, it will be cold at night. In some southern sheltered parts of the country the temperature fell to as low as -3 Celsius on Tuesday night.
