The Netherlands ‘humiliate’ England in Twenty20 cricket

The Netherlands beat England by 45 runs in the World Twenty20 cricket tournament on Monday, in a victory described as ‘humiliating’ by the British media.

The shock defeat of England is Oranje’s only victory since their surprise qualification for the Super 10 section of the event after beating Ireland on March 22.

The Dutch team had a disastrous first match in the second round against Sri Lanka. Oranje were all out for 39, the lowest ever score in international Twenty20 cricket and the shortest ever innings.

They then went on to lose to New Zealand by six wickets but put on a strong performance against South Africa, losing by just six runs.
