SER chairman to take over as Rabobank chief executive
The chairman of one of the government’s most important advisory bodies has been nominated as the new chairman of Rabobank.
Wiebe Draijer, 48, currently heads the SER, or Sociaal Economische Raad, which is composed of employers, trade unions and lay members and investigates policy ideas for the government.
Draijer will succeed Rinus Minderhoud, who took over the Rabobank helm on an interim basis following the departure of Piet Moerland over the interest rate fixing scandal.
Supervisory board chairman Wout Dekker said Draijer’s strategic expertise and his social leadership are ‘exactly what Rabobank is looking for’.
