New foreign investment created 8,500 jobs last year: NFIA
Newly arrived foreign firms created 8,500 jobs in the Netherlands last year, according to figures from the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency.
In total, the 193 new projects generated investment of €1.7bn in the Dutch economy, the NFIA says.
Most new firms come from Asia and the US. They include a distribution centre for American company Moduslink in Venray which created 500 jobs, while Indian firm Wipro created 250 jobs in Eindhoven.
In 2012, new foreign investment led to 5,000 new jobs, the NFIA said.
