Mortgage applications double since last February
The number of mortgage applications rose again this February and doubled compared with 2013.
Figures released on Tuesday by the mortgage data network HDN show a 16% rise in applications compared with January to 14,900 applications in February. The rise compared with February 2013 is 47%.
‘This confirms reports of a fragile recovery in the market,’ the HDN told the Parool.
HDN has a 70% share of mortgages in the Netherlands.
