It may officially be spring, but weather forecasters say most of the country will have overnight frost, and the temperature could drop to as low as -5 Celsius in places.

Driving conditions could also be slippery on bridges and roads close to water, weather bureau Weerplaza said.

If the temperature does dip to -5 Celsius, it will be one of the coldest nights of the year so far. Tuesday will remain sunny and cold but there could be some rain on Wednesday.

The KNMI weather bureau says the rest of the week will be dry with sunny spells and temperatures of around 14 Celsius.
