PSV exits Europa League, AZ progresses to knock-out phase

PSV Eindhoven is out of the Europa League after losing 0-1 at home to Ukrainian side Chornomorets Odesa.

A draw would have been enough to put the club through to the knock-out phase.

AZ of Alkmaar, however, remain in the European competition after drawing 2-2 against Greek side PAOK and going through as group leader. Both teams had already been assured of a place in the knock-out phase.

Ajax of Amsterdam will join AZ in the group phase after being eliminated from the Champions League earlier this week.

The draw for the round of 32 takes place on Monday.
