Over 100 Dutch restaurants have at least one Michelin star
The Netherlands has a new three-star restaurant in the latest Michelin listing for the Netherlands, taking the total to three – for a few weeks at least.
Restaurant De Leest In Vaassen joins the Oude Sluis in Sluis and De Librije in Zwolle with three stars. However, Oude Sluis is closing its doors at the end of this year, after chef Sergio Herman said he had done as much as he can do in his Zeeland establishment.
The latest edition of the Michelin guide for the Netherlands contains 105 star-rated restaurants, including nine new ones. Amsterdam chef Ron Blaauw who shut his two-star restaurant earlier this year has one star for his new, simpler eatery Ron Gastrobar.
Three one-star establishments have added a star, taking the total of two-star restaurants in the Netherlands to 19.
