Energy bills set to drop by €50 a year: FD
Domestic energy bills will fall by around €50 a year because of lower transport costs, the Financieele Dagblad said on Wednesday.
The drop is due to the Dutch consumers authority ACM which is slashing the amount of money the grid operators are allowed to charge for transporting electricty.
The ACM says grid operators can now borrow more cheaply on the capital markets to make investments so their fees should come down.
