Amstel Hotel for sale again

The five-star Amstel Hotel, one of the most famous in Amsterdam, is back on the market for the third time in 12 years, according to the Parool.

It was bought in 2006 as one of a parcel of seven hotels by the US bank Morgan Stanley for €652m, and was sold on with the others in 2011 to Libanese businessman Toufic Aboukhater for €450m.

The sale is being handled by Jones Lang Lascelle in London, who have not given an asking price, according to the Parool.

The running of the hotel will not be affected by the sale. It is run by hotel group InterContinental.
