Woman killed in Arnhem gas blast, 14 flats uninhabitable
Fourteen flats in an Arnhem apartment complex hit by an explosion on Tuesday morning are uninhabitable, news agency ANP reports. One person was killed in the blast.
All residents in the 138-apartment complex were ordered to leave after the explosion, which shattered windows and blew front walls off several flats on the second floor.
The damage was caused by a gas leak but the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated. According to local broadcasters, the dead woman may have threatened to blow herself up.
