New football season begins
PEC Zwolle began the new football season by beating Rotterdam club Feyenoord 2-1 at home on Sunday.
The new season opened on Saturday with a 3-2 win for PSV Eindhoven over ADO Den Haag, a 0-0 draw for FC Twente and RKC Waalwijk, a 4-1 win for FC Groningen against NEC of Nijmegen, and a 4-2 win by sc Heerenveen over AZ Alkmaar.
