Water levels fall in Dutch rivers
Despite the widespread flooding in Germany, water levels in the Netherlands’ rivers are now falling, the transport ministry said on Thursday.
River levels have gone down some 10 centimetres since Wednesday, officials said.
Earlier this week, a number of flood plains used as campsites and as grazing land for cattle were evacuated because of fears they might flood.
