Hotel Krasnapolsky sold for €157m

The NH Hotels group has sold Amsterdam’s Krasnapolsky hotel to a consortium of investors for €157m.

The Spanish hotel group has owned the Krasnapolsky on Amsterdam’s Dam square since 2002 and will remain in charge of running the hotel, the Financieele Dagblad said. The consortium is led by AXA Real Estate Investment Managers.

The Krasnapolsky can trace its origins back to 1865, when Polish-German immigrant Wilhelm Krasnapolsky took over a coffee house and turned it into a cafe. He later expanded it into a hotel.
