Supermarkets cash in on orange
The sale of orange-related products generated extra sales of €10m for Dutch supermarkets over the past week, according to retail sector research bureau GfK.
One in five households – a total of 1.4 million – bought one or more products with an orange theme, the research group said.
The most popular items were a coronation pudding from Mona, Willem of Orange pudding from Campina, Alex peppermints and roles of orange toilet paper, GfK said.
