Deportee released from jail by mistake
Police in Alphen aan den Rijn are hunting for a man who was accidently released from jail when he should have been handed over to immigration police to be deported.
A spokesman for the prison service told website nu.nl the man had been held since May 1 but no details about why he was in custody have been made public.
Police are using a helicopter in an effort to track him down.
