ING says latest internet banking problems due to its own measures
Problems with internet banking experienced by ING clients on Tuesday morning have now been solved, the finanacial services group said in the early afternoon.
Customers were unable to make internet payments for some 90 minutes because of ‘measures the bank is taking to prevent breakdowns’, news agency ANP reported.
ING online services were disrupted at least twice last week, on Friday because of a cyber attack.
‘After the incidents of last week, measures are being implemented to prevent disruption to services in the future,’ the bank said. ‘One of those measures led to the temporary disruption today.’
