31 Albanians arrested in Holland in past week

Immigration police have picked up 31 Albanian nationals in the Netherlands over the past week who were trying to cross over to Britain, news agency ANP said.

On Monday night, nine Albanians were found hidden in a van at the port of Hoek van Holland. The Polish driver and his mate were arrested.

Albanian nationals are allowed to enter the Netherlands without a visa because it is part of the Schengen area but not Britain because it is outside the open border region.
