Premier division top scorer Wilfried Bony is set to leave Vitesse for London club West Ham, according to Voetball International.

VI says West Ham and the Arnhem side are close to agreeing a €13.5m deal for the Ivory Coast international and that the agreement will be announced next week. The striker still has to agree his own terms with the London club, VI says.

Bony, who left the African country in 2008, has scored 26 times this season and ensured Vitesse is in with a chance at the Dutch title.

The 24-year-old has made no secret of his ambitions to play at a higher level. In November he said he wanted to leave the Netherlands because the government refuses to allow his family from Ivory Coast to visit him.
