Judges release second linesman death suspect from custody
Another of the seven youngsters remanded in custody in connection with the death of a football linesman last year has been released from jail ahead of the trial.
Richard Nieuwenhuizen died after being punched and kicked after a match between two youth teams.
Three of the youngsters had appealed against their continued detention and judges on Wednesday sent another one home. One teenager was released earlier.
May trial
The case against the seven youths and one adult will be heard at the end of May.
Judges have already ruled the trial will be held in public because of the public interest.
All seven youths are under the age of 18 and one is just 15. In the Netherlands it is customary for trials involving juveniles to be held in closed session. The other defendant is a 51-year-old man and father of one of the boys.
