Clean sweep for Dutch men in 10,000 metres, two silvers for Wüst
Jorrit Bergsma led a Dutch clean sweep in the men’s 10,000 metres at the world speed skating championships in Sochi, Russia on Saturday.
Bergsma took the title just ahead of 5,000 metre title holder Sven Kramer. Bob de Jong completed the all Oranje podium line-up.
In the women’s 5,000 metres Czech skater Martina Sablikova took the title for the sixth time, ahead of the Netherlands Ireen Wüst .
Wüst has so far taken four medals at the championships; gold in the 3,000 and 1,500 and silver in the 1,000 and 5,000.
On Sunday the team pursuit events take place.
