Dutch MEP invites British firms to move to the ‘stable’ Netherlands
A member of the European parliament for the VVD has written an open letter to British companies inviting them to move operations to the Netherlands because of the uncertainty about Britain’s future relationship with the EU.
In a letter to the Financial Times, Toine Manders says that while he ‘sincerely hopes’ Britain will remain part of the EU, British companies need a ‘stable political future instead of uncertainty’.
‘I would therefore like to invite companies exporting to the EU to look at the Netherlands as an alternative location for their businesses,’ he said.
‘The Netherlands provides a stable business climate with direct continued access to the internal market, solid infrastructure and friendly, English-speaking people.’
