Postal workers to get 1.7% pay rise
Postal workers’ unions and PostNL have agreed a 1.7% pay rise after months of difficult talks. The pay deal will be implemented in two stages and runs until April next year.
Talks on changes to the pension and early retirement scheme are still continuing.
‘Given the changes in the post market and the situation facing PostNL, this is the best we can do,’ said Abvakabo union spokeswoman Susan Eijgermans. ‘All workers will have more to spend. That was our demand at the start of the talks and that is what PostNL has agreed to.’
Workers will also get an end-of-year bonus of 2% of their salary.
