Second jewelry store murder suspect arrested in Georgia

The second teenager wanted in connection with the murder of a jewelry shop owner in The Hague last week was arrested in the Georgian capital Tblisi on Wednesday, the Volkskrant reports on Thursday.

Sandro Grigolia, who originally comes from the city, turned himself in to the Dutch embassy in the presence of several family members, the paper said.
Ruud Stratmann, 47, was killed during a robbery at his shop in the city last Wednesday. Police took the unusual step of releasing security camera footage of the incident showing the two suspects which led to over 50 tip-offs.
Sentences
The other man, Ziya Borukcu, was arrested on Tuesday night.
Senior defence lawyers told the Telegraaf on Thursday they expect the teenagers may get a reduced sentence because of all the publicity surrounding the case.
‘It is unique in Dutch criminal law history that full surnames and photos are released so early in an investigation,’ lawyer Sanne Schuurman told the paper.
