Play me, I’m yours: 101 pianos in Tilburg
In total 101 pianos have been scattered in parks, on street corners and squares throughout Tilburg as part of an art project entitled Play me, I’m yours.
‘It does not matter whether you are a virtuoso, or you can play chopsticks with two fingers like me,’ says Vincent Koreman, artistic leader of the Incubate festival which set up the show, in the Telegraaf.
The project is the brainchild of British artist Luke Jerram and has been touring the globe since 2008. Previous Play me, I’m yours events have been held in New York, London and Barcelona, but not with as many pianos.
The pianos are looked after by a network of volunteers, who take them inside at night and when it rains.
