Unions angry at Nedcar pay cut suggestion
Unions at the Nedcar plant in Born, Limburg, are angry at a management suggestion that wages be cut by between 2% and 5%, the Financieele Dagblad reports.
No official request for a pay cut has yet been made, but the management board is sounding out opinion, the paper says.
Both Nedcar and Mitsubishi, which assembles the Colt in Born, have been hit hard by the financial crisis.
Mitsubishi will decide at the end of this year whether to continue production at Nedcar. Production of the Colt is to end.
