The royal family will pay a short visit to Oman after all next week, foreign affairs minister Uri Rosenthal told MPs on Friday, Nos television reports.

Queen Beatrix, crown prince Willem-Alexander and princess Maxima will attend a private dinner with the sultan, the minister said.
The formal state visit and trade promotion tour was postponed earlier this week because of political unrest in the Gulf state.
After the dinner, the royal party will travel on to Qatar for a three day visit.
