Employees take home more pay as employers’ contributions rise
Employees will take home between €5.83 and €15.45 a month more next year because of changes to the tax system, according to calculations by salary processing group ADP.
But the increase will be largely offset by the €11 a month rise for adults’ healthcare policies and rises in childcare costs, ADP told news agency ANP.
At the same time, employers will have to pay more healthcare and unemployment benefit contributions on behalf of their staff, ADP says.
For example, the unemployment premium for people in the business services sector is going up from 1.43% of gross salary to 2.36%.
