Schiphol flights cancelled as volanic ash cloud hits Britain

A number of flights to Britain and Ireland from Schiphol and Eindhoven have been cancelled because volcanic ash from an erupting volcano on Iceland has again caused the closure of several airports.

In total, some 300 out of 29,000 flights in European airspace have been affected, European air traffic control officials said.
Schiphol airport is advising passengers to check with their airline.
