AZ comes closer to league title
Alkmaar club AZ beat ADO Den Haag 4-1 this weekend, taking the club a step nearer the league title with 73 points.
If AZ wins next weekend’s match against Breda NAC and both Ajax and Twente lose, the title will go to the Alkmaar club.
Number two FC Twente drew 1-1 against NEC Nijmegen. Ajax, in third place, beat Roda JV 2-1 away.
Upset of the weekend was at Voldendam, where Rotterdam’s Feyenoord lost 2-1 to the joint-bottom club.
